Dr Javed Sheriff

Dr Sheriff is a general cardiologist who graduated from Bond University and completed his cardiology specialist training at Concord Hospital. He completed his PhD evaluating the role of Angiotensin II in the central control of sympathetic outflow from the University of Sydney, and his research was supported by an Australian Postgraduate Award Scholarship. He has published multiple research articles in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr Sheriff is a staff specialist at Canterbury Hospital. He is a visiting medical officer at the Sydney Adventist Hospital, Macquarie University Hospital and Ryde Hospital. He is a Senior Lecturer for the University of Sydney and teaches medical students and junior doctors. He has completed a fellowship in clinical Cardiac Magnetic Resonance and has Level A accreditation for reporting CT coronary angiograms.
His interests include cardiac assessment using non-invasive imaging modalities, management of heart failure, coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease and general cardiovascular risk assessment. Dr Sheriff can speak conversational Urdu and Hindi.
